Braces-Friendly Recipes

When you start your new smile journey, there are certain foods that are healthy for your braces and certain foods that are dangerous for your braces.  Braces or Invisalign do not need to affect your healthy diet, however.  There are lots of great-tasting foods you can eat while your new smile transformation takes place.

Be sure to avoid foods that are too hard, chewy or sticky.  Although most candies and sugary snacks are not safe for braces, there are some indulgences that are safe.  Dark chocolate and softer treats are fine for your braces – as long as you brush afterwards.

Carrots, apples, pretzels and corn on the cob need to be modified in how you eat them.  Be careful of anything too hard.  Cut foods into small pieces and chew on your back teeth.  Do not bite straight into an apple and please cut corn off of the cob.  Following these easy tips will help make your smile transformation process a breeze.
